Insurance Journal, you are BACK! I thought your Pot Pushing papers were maybe a thing of the past, that maybe you might even publish some of the damaging news about pot. But no. Hallelujah! Pot is Groovy again.

You see, one insurance company in Colorado reported lower claims for pot workers than the average. Any actuary might want to challenge the small sample as not really indicative of the totals for the State, but not Insurance Journal. Not when Pot Pushing is the goal!

350 out of 3,000. pot workers insured by one, single insurance company (Pinnacle) report claims. In California, a 10% injury rate annually would be about average for the State, but not in Colorado, apparently (the actual state-wide numbers aren’t revealed by the in-depth Insurance Journal report. Just trust them on this one). Instead, we are just told these numbers are “good”!

You see, all you anti-pot people. You are just WRONG again. Not that we want to give you the data. After all, they don’t call us Insurance Journal for nothing.

Insurance Journal: You reassure me! I thought maybe the Puff Pieces promoting Pot were a thing of the past. But no!

Workers compensation claims are lower for pot workers, you exclaim! Hallelujah!

And true to the actuarial nature of insurance, you give us the overwhelming evidence: one single insurer, Pinnacle, reports that 350 of 3,000. pot workers suffered injury. A 10% injury rate would be about average in California, but in claims-heavy Colorado, 10% is apparently great. How do we know?

Because Insurance Journal says so. (Don’t ask for the numbers. Only an insurance actuary would want to know that.)
