Toyota Must Face Trial in Federal Sudden-Acceleration Case

    An 83 year old woman lacks the sensory, perception, and motor skills to protect herself. “If” there was an acceleration problem, all she had to do was shut the engine off or put the car in neutral. Problem solved. Drivers are expected to know how to handle emergencies. If she were that frail she shouldn’t have been driving. In all likelihood, she hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
