Anytime a minor is allowed to consume alcohol (especially large quantities) it can and often does result in disaster. The family of the deceased girl deserves to be compensated and those guilty of providing alcohol and encouraging the girl to drink must be held accountable. This should be a criminal investigation not simply civil liability. If a “snake-handling” church in Kentucky allowed/encouraged a 15 year old to handle a rattlesnake and the child was bitten and died…there would be criminal and civil liability as well. They didn’t even try to help the girl. Tragic.
