5 Arrested in String of Burglaries in Utah

June 1, 2012

Authorities say they’ve recovered more than 100 stolen items and arrested five people while investigating a rash of storage unit and vehicle burglaries in Provo, Utah.

Provo Sgt. Brandon Post says an officer investigating the burglary of one unit found that suspects had broken through the walls and entered other adjoining units.

Officers tracked the stolen property to a vacant house, where they say a group of people had been stashing the goods and pawning them off periodically.

Five suspects have been booked into the Utah County Jail on charges including possessing stolen property. They are 26-year-old Casidie Broadhead, 50-year-old James Pettus, 18-year-old Marshall Dyer, 35-year-old Eti Seiuli, and 30-year-old Steven Frost.

Post says police are hoping return the stolen items, which include golf clubs, ammunition, bikes and credit cards.
