Explosion Causes Evacuation at Micron in Idaho

Authorities say an explosion at Micron Technologies in Boise, Idaho, resulted in minor injuries to seven people and led to the evacuation of 200 workers.

Fire Chief Dennis Doan says the explosion Tuesday was powerful enough to move a concrete wall.

Initial reports indicated a piece of equipment exploded and resulted in a possible chemical spill, but a hazardous material team says that no hazardous chemicals were released.

Seven people are being examined for minor injuries that ranged from ringing in their ears to dust inhalation.

Most of the workers who left the building have returned.

Micron says it is investigating the cause of the explosion.
