There’s got to be more to this story. First off, a couple of adults from the big apple fly to one of the premier/difficult ski runs in the country. No local up state NY, MA, or VT places were good enough. Going down an “easy” run and having a “routine fall” doesn’t equate to a dislocated knee and a lower leg bone fracturing into “40 pieces”. “if” bindings fail, you usually see a twist/spiral fracture. “shattering” suggests an impact with something. How old was this woman? Bones must have been pretty brittle to shatter like that. Maybe she shouldn’t have been on skiis.
