Insured Arizona Dogs May Run Leash-Free

    I think this is a great idea! It encourages dog owners to be responsible for their dog’s actions. Look – no responsible pet owner would let their dog loose on the street if they knew it was vicious. And only responsible, law abiding citizens would bother to buy insurance. I think this is something worth pursuing

    It’s an absurd idea. It sends the message that the state doesn’t give a damn about injuries and physical damage caused by dogs as long as there’s insurance to cover it. Some people are naturally afraid of dogs and shouldn’t be exposed to them running free. Dogs can dart out in front of traffic causing accidents. They might want to mix it up with a leashed dog causing more problems. The state of AZ would be better served focusing its attention and resources on illegals from south of the border.
