The 2012’s are not fixed. I bought a 2012 Corolla and because my son was driving I cant bring up a reliable case on unintended acceleration. He is only 16, but he’s a responsible enough kid that I allowed him to drive my brand new car. He was ON THE BRAKE and parking in a spot at the grocery store and the car hopped the curb and went into a pole. I did have the car examined by someone Toyota sent out, and of course they say there is nothing wrong with it. Because he is only 16, I wouldnt have a great case to pursue. I can not say for certain what happened, but the clip in the floor mat was broken so it wasnt holding it down (had the car 6 weeks, less than 1000 miles on it and the clip busted under his foot as he was getting in a day or two before the accident) and I know he was ON the BRAKE when the car sped off. The black box report even says so.
