Go figure. I had major back surgery through Aetna HMO, and they paid for everything ($60,000 +). However, they denied a friend of mine a surgery for his back that cost half of mine… he fought for 2 years to get them to finally pay it. He had the PPO, not the HMO. And now they’e denying Acupuncture? Whatever, Aetna. My company just switched insurance for health, and my premium is now 1/3 of what Aetna was charging. My medication has gone from $62 to $18. Love it! It’s sad… Aetna used to treat people really well, and they were good to me at least. But, they wanted to quadruple the cost our company paid for insurance this year; thus,we switched.
