    This is a tradegy that was preventable. Stay at a Holiday Inn next time. If you camp in the wild you should have an expectation you may encounter a wild animal. While else do you spend time in the wild? I feel bad this situation happened but don’t start blaming the forest service for the actions of a wild animal.

    If you go in the wild you leave civilization, you enter the food chain and not always at the top.

    The government is not responsible. Whatever happened to everyone taking responsibility for their own actions?

    A bear will not attack anyone unless provoked in some way.
