The family of this girl is really trying to do that? wow SMH! I say That the people from the Colossium & the people who Promote these kinds of events sue back! because It was clear that the event was 16+ so It was that girls fault who showed up & took that exssesive amount of XTC, the parents were not aware of the event being 16+ give me a break! shes a 15 year old girl! her parents were not on her a** thats their fault not the events fault if anyone should be blamed for its the parents & how they would let a girl go to a 16+ carnival/rave.

Funny how when something bad happens, it’s always someone else who is at fault.
The parents should be in jail for neglect. Why did they let their 15 year old daughter go to a rave party where they knew there would be drugs? Where is parental responsibility? Society is not responsible for raising your children….you are!

So, the County, etc. should have known there would be illegal drug use at the event, but the parents bear no responsibility for knowing what sort of social event their 15 year old daughter is attending?

I agree with you 510% Homer! If that was my 15-year old, they would have their nose in some books in lieu of drugs!

This didn’t happen until Sarah Palin and her Tea Partiers started causing trouble, they are behind these events so they can corrupt young people, and get them thinking like right wingers. Better include Sarah and the Tea party in this suit; the first of many that should be filed for all the hate they promote at these events.

Just wait….. the icing on the cake will be some hispanic jury and moronic judge who will take the approach “someone must pay” and the parents will be rewarded. Disgusting as it seems, that’s the pitiful state of our legal system. We have the trial lawyers to thank for bastardizing and manipulating the system for fun and profit.

after reading Sheriff Chad’s tongue in cheek remark, I went to the Electric Daisy website.
There is apparently an 18 & over policy for admittance. So, did the young girl have fake id or did someone not check at the door?

I agree with you. Any “Responsible” would not allow their child to attend these events, especially on a school night.

If that were my child, the last thing I would want is $ for her death

oops.. looks like the 18 and over policy was instituted only after the 15 year old’s passing. prior to that the age restriction was 16 and over.
the website looks evil… reminded me of those whackadoodle insane clown possee events…. my sympathy to the family for their loss, but it was their child that exhibited the lack of judgement, attended illegally and took illegal drugs. the promoter erred in not turning her away at the door. Won’t comparative negligence make a difference in this case? Sadly, the child is lost and no amount of money will reverse the poor decision making that must have been surrounding her all through her short life.
