Until insurers stop paying lip service to fraud, policyholders will continue to finance this type of inane claim. This is perhaps an example of the simplest fraud to catch, yet it happens daily with little to no chance of prosecution in Washington.
Law Enforcement considers insurance fraud to be an “insurance company problem.”
Oddly enough, the fact that insureds/claimants are filing false police reports to perpetrate the frauds doesn’t seem to bother law enforcement much.
