I just love how the people on this site always think lawsuits are a joke, even without knowing the facts of the case. If the balls are being used in a way that is not irresponsible and the weight limit wasn’t exceeded, a law suit is warranted. What the hell is wrong with all you people that think we shouldn’t have lawsuits in the country. Well, for anyone except you, I’m sure. I can’t believe some of you people have freakin’ insurance licenses. Do you even know how it works?

Bottom line, Mr. (or Mrs.) No Name: Yes, all lawsuits are a joke. It’s our right to make judgments whether or not we know the facts of the case, especially if by doing so makes us feel better. We know how it works, and even if we don’t, we’re still better than you. Once you accept that, your life will be happier.

    Happy Kwanzaa!

Thank you Wally. As usual, you are dead on and have a wit and insight next to none. I frequently forget that rules only apply as the individual decides they should. Thanks for bringing me down to earth.

I suppose it would be too much trouble for the Sacramento Kings to sit down with the ball manufacturer and discuss the isssue and try to resolve the claim themselves. It’s just easier to pay some attorney thousands of dollars and allow the claim to languish for a couple of years clogging up the trial calendar. Filing a lawsuit should be the last resort; not the first.

How do you know they didn’t sit down and try to work something out? You don’t, but still you make a judgement. God our industry is just sad.

P.S. I hope no one on this site ever uses an attorney. I would like all of you attorney haters to make a vow right now that no matter what happens to any of you, maybe being accused of a murder you didn’t commit, that you will under no circumstances get an attorney…Let’s hear it boys and girls.

Further to Jeff’s point, I would like all of you lawsuit haters to vow that even if someone breaks a contract with you, even if someone steals from you, even if you are not paid your commission by a company, that you will, under no circumstances sue. What about it Marian? What do you say?
