what strikes me most about this article is not that the girl may have been sexually harrassed, but that the lawyer makes a cool half million off this. I REALLY chose the wrong occupation!

I was part of a class action suit against Sears years ago. The lawyers got millions I got a $7 Sears gift certificate. Yeah you should have gone to the School for Rascals (law school).

What is sad is your mind set. If the cop had been a male would you have referred to him as “boy”? At what age does a girl earn the title of woman? Harassment is fostered when women get no respect. This is a male talking Anejo is aged tequila, not a woman’s name.

What’s even sadder than the attorney getting $500K, is that he got twice as much as his client, who was the victim!

“As part of the settlement, Casper is not allowed to file another sex harassment suit against Concord. He has represented several other female officers in suits against the city.”

Wow! Talk about taking something completely innocent and twisting it into something totally unintended. I suppose when my wife goes out with her friends, she can no longer call them her “girlfriends”, nor are they having a “girls night out”. She is now going out with her womenfriends for a womens night out.

Anejo, it’s easy to find wrongdoing in the world when you are always looking for it. But to satify your feeling of righteousness, I apologize to all females for referring to the woman in this article as a girl.

One more thing. Had the cop been a man, I most likely would have referred to him as “this guy”. And now I apologize to all men for referring to them as guys.

Dang right you should apologize! And while we are on the subject, adults no longer have “girlfriends” or boyfriends”. They now have “womanfriends” and “manfriends”. And when I hang out with my friends, please refrain from using the term “boys night out”. We are having a “mans night out”! This is so empowering! Thank you Anejo, for pointing out the error of our disrespectful ways!!!

Under Alternative Minimum Tax laws, she will most likely have to pay taxes on the entire $750K (no deduction for legal expense allowed). She may end up owing money.

OK Franklin, I accept your apology for referring to us guys as guys. I was so hurt at first when I read the comments. Hey, maybe we should go back to “Cats” & “Chicks”.

Ok Franklin. I get your point. I personally don’t like the term girl or boy used in the singular and directed at an individual. I’ve rarely seem the words used with a positive connotation. That being said I do accept the term “my girl” as long as you sing it and it’s preceded by ” boom de dah dah dee dah, boom dee dah dah dee dah……
