This is Bullshi_ with a capital B. The plaintiff and the judge are morons. The pltf. was well aware of the pole opening and the condition was open/obvious. The idiot forgot to grab the pole before jumping into the hole. WC should be his only remedy. All the money in the world can’t fix “stupidity”.

I agree. How much more evidence do you need to see that this guy doesn’t have the brain damage. I mean a video tape showing him chopping wood & dancing….What has the justice system come to??? Looks like they are hiring yokels to be judges. $12.75 million dollars??? What an outrage!!!! You can bet that this judement will come back on the tax payers somehow. It will work out. I’m sure the money will destroy that family.

I don’t care about the facts I haven’t heard. This is ********. As a fireman, you have responsiblity to know where things are in the firehouse. Falling into the pole hole is inexcusable. Perhaps he’ll die of something somehow related to the fall, in which case he can get a, well deserved, Darwin award.

I agree the plaintiff is an A-hole, but what about the jury and the judge? They’re part of why I have no respect for the judicial system in this country. The jurors failed to objectively evaluate the case and the judge failed to over-rule the exhorbitant verdict. It’s easy to piss away millions when it isn’t your money. This should be appealed on the basis of judicial stupidity.
