All meat you buy in the stores has some level of E. coli (as well as other potential nasties) in/on it. The simple solution is irradiation and thorough cooking. Ever notice that the entity/person that undercooks the meat is never sued/held accountable? The (media hyped)investigation and lawsuit always targets the big/bad/evil/rich meat processing company (smell the aroma of the deep pockets here). The deaths are needless as they were absolutely preventable. The real problem? Stupid and ignorant humans. Alas, there is no ‘stupid vaccine’ yet and probably never will be.

Seven (7) people out of One Million (1,000,000) pounds of ground beef. Not dismissing prevention procedures, but that’s not a high percentage of illness.
