He wiped out irreplaceable inventories for many whose businesses were greatly impacted by his selfish actions. Throw the book at him and give him the max.

Some of your reflect your ignorance of the magnitude of this loss. Vinters and winemakers are skilled in their craft. It takes years of hard work to cultivate specific types of grapes, harvest them, process, age, and bottle the final product. Now this jackass sets a fire and destroys all of this work and product. In addition, this low life leeched off those who did the work and defrauded them to his own advantage. I agree he deserves a life sentence. He can’t make restitution. Why should he be given a lesser sentence? People need to take personal responsibility for their actions and suffer the consequences of their stupidity and bad decisions. There should be no “deal” regarding his sentence.
