Not counting the wildfires now burning…my guess would be the Auburn fire would be the worst in Northern California…not all of California since 6/08.
The total acreage involved, value and number of lost structures and suppression costs from the Jesusita fire near Santa Barbara in 5/09 will likely well exceed the Auburn fire. Not that there’s a contest…just in the interest of accurate reporting.
