This should happen more frequently. It sends a strong message to criminals that the anty to break into a house just went up. I agree the homeowner should have blown his brains out. No jury in the world would convict him. Holding him at gunpoint was actually a pretty stupid thing to do. He’s lucky the thief didn’t wrestle it away from him and shoot his family.
I am not generally defending claims made against law enforcement, but this is a case that sounds like they screwed up royaly, and will be paying some big bucks.
