To reduce litigation the building industry needs to build houses right, and honor the warranty. Limiting their customers’ legal recourse isn’t a solution to the construction defects problem, it’s just immunizing bad builders and further pulling down the industry’s reputation. Good builders should be up in arms about shoddy construction instead of sitting silently by and then whining that they don’t deserve the reputation they get by association.
