Democratic lawmakers who faced a nursing shortage threw money at wrong wall. They lowered the standards for nursing admission and licensing allowing questionable candidates into a serious profession without requiring adequate training. Many of the latest generation of nurses/ Medical Assistance hardly know the difference between a dram gram or grain, and we won’t even mention the metric system. Any medication properly prescribed and improperly administered can be a life threatening adverse event for the medication and the prescriber. Too often we let or (generally speaking) overweight/slovenly/undereducated/ and character challenged nurses/medical assistants slide by because “they are doing the best they can”.
