I think they should let the wildfires burn themselves out instead of wasting all these resources fighting the inevitable. Once all the kindling is gone there won’t be anymore fires. The place might look like the lunar landscape but at least we won’t have to hear about this stuff every year.
If the National Forest Service and State Parks would adopt vegetation management policies to clear some of the undergrowth and maintain more healthy forested areas, it would go a long way to reducing the severity of some of the fires.
