I agree the law should be enforced, but I think that we need to change the Law and the legal definition of the word Minor, A Minor in this Law is someone under 21 years of age.
If this is the case a minor is to young to understand and take responsibility for his/her actions, so we need to protect them from themselves.
I was under the impression that you were considered an adult at the age of 18 in most every state in the U.S. Not a minor.
A minor should not be allowed to vote, Age 18 you have the right to vote
A minor should not be held responsible for adult crimes, Age 18 again you’re an adult in the eyes of a court in the U.S.
A minor 18 years old should not be allowed to die for our country in a war and should not be allowed to carry a weapon while in the Military Service.
Well I say lets change the law to match the definition of a minor,
if your under 21 years of age you are not an adult and will not be treated as an adult therefore.
NO Alcohol
NO Voting Rights
NO Standing trial as an adult
NO Serving your country etc…..
Until we change the law minors think they have rights as an adult,
So we as a society give young people a mixed message, Go die for your country, Go Vote, Stand trial as an adult, But don’t try to by a beer or you will be punished!!!!
Make it level across the board and then come back and address this situation again.
Oh and for the idiots who serve alcohol to a 12 yr old, they need jail time.
C’mon! Let the kids be kids. Do we really have to govern their every move? What happened to empowering teens to make the right choices? Have we decided to think for them?
I have an idea, why don’t they pass a law against anyone giving alcohol to minors. Oh wait there is one, maybe enforce it! In Arizona there is a $5,000 fine if a minor is served. I’ve seen people with no ID turned away. I wouldn’t want to pay a large fine or go to jail just to get a kid some booze.
The things that will curb underage drinking are the same things that will curb teen sex, violence and dropout rates. They need to parent their children, not have single-parent households, hold their children and themselves accountable to the law and a set of morals and just do it. It’s not that hard.

WA state thinks they need to control everything.
