    There are a couple states out there that have no cap on economic damages but a fairly “low” cap on non-economic damages (I want to say Texas and California, but could be wrong). If the plaintiff can show millions in economic damages go ahead and award that – but don’t make them rich because their feelings have been hurt.

    Yes – Cali has had a 250K non-economic cap since 1976 for med-mal under MICRA – if a State who keeps re-electing Barbara Boxer to the Senate can do this, any State can

    I feel sorry for people seriously injured by the medical field, but the simple fact is we can not afford this type of legislation. The result could be no healthcare, or at least none the average wage earner can afford. Take the quacks licenses away through much tougher regulation, but for gods sake keep the trial attorneys out of it!
