This report simply casts a “wide” net over all activities of fraud that arises during periods of catastrophes, and that they are pursuing any and all reports of fraudulent activities. Which means: stand clear of any activities which could “smack” of fraud, or you’ll get burned yourselves.

is one devised whereby hardworking taxpaying citizens pay for auto insurance for loafers too lazy to ride the tax subsidized metro bus. Then, same hardworking taxpaying citizen gets hit and darn near killed by same loafer whose state minimum limits barely buy a sixer of Rainier Beer, the original microbrew.
Think I’ll have one myself. Is that the disaster I am sure they are managing so well?

Why does it always take a disaster to form a task force? Don’t any of the CA geniuses have any foresight to anticipate things like this? CA needs a full-time fire response team that can respond to EVERY fire, not just the ones that become serious. The only bright side to this is that sooner or later there won’t be anything to burn and the problem will solve itself.
