CPCU Society To Host National Leadership Institute Course

On April 20, the CPCU Society and the Society’s Pacific Northwest and Lake Washington Chapters will be hosting a CPCU Society National Leadership Institute (NLI) course: Creative Thinking in Business.

The course is designed to provide the participant with insights into the concepts and tools for implementing creative thinking to meet emerging future challenges in the business environment.

At the completion of this course, attendees should be able to:
-Understand the challenges facing organizations and the need for creative solutions.

– Define and understand creative thinking concepts.

-Be able to effectively review data from multiple sources and determine trends and meaning.

-Know what three questions to ask in reviewing data to ensure effective analysis.

-Recognize the pitfalls of doing the same thing again and again without understanding the consequences.

-Use creative thinking concepts and tools to develop breakthrough strategies and tactics.

Don Cook, who has more than 30 years of management experience at all levels, from first line to director of training, and product development department head, will instruct the course. He has taught management and business strategy at Temple University, Illinois State University, and Chesapeake College, and is a past chapter president, national committee chairman, and regional director for the CPCU Society.
