Why do we not hear as much about the epidemic of public school teachers molesting students as we do about priests molesting altar boys? I think that by now the teacher/student molestation ratio has far outstripped the priest/altar boy number.

And if you were really that concerned, you would suggest that ALL cases of adult role models be condemned for molesting children, not just certain ones because YOU are tired of hearing about the church.
I do condemn ALL cases of child molestation, if that needs to be said to a reasonable person. I just wonder why it goes largely unreported when the perp is on the govt payroll.
I hear about student molestation by teachers all the time, far too often! I think what makes the priest molestation a jucier story is that preists are supposed to be moral, and have high values. They are supposed to be moral leaders. Also, and this is very important, churches have deep pockets, they are way more suable than a schoold dist. Did you ever consider maybe this is just good PR on the attorneys part to whip up sympathy and maybe settle?
