This is unbelievable! Compensation via commission has been an acceptable means of compensation and motivation FOREVER…EVERYWHERE. It is the incentive for sales people to make a sale! It\’s the American way, it\’s the Human way.
In the world of Spitzer & the like, all people selling a product or service will have to tell the buyer up front what his or her share is on every sale – including incentives, bonuses, lunches, awards, prizes, trips, etc. And if there are higher rewards for selling a particular product, that will be steering.
Watch out if you sell for a living! Many in government want a world where everyone is paid the same whether they get results or not. The Insurance Companies just want to kept their hefty profits and not draw too much attention to themselves – keep a low profit.

Apparently, Garamendi was victimized by an unscrupulous insurance agenct who\’s only motivation was to profit from his dealings with consumers. He makes this entire industry out to be a bunch of money hungry thieves who could care less about protecting consumers. Although, in 20 years, I have met many (about 60-70%) in this industry who would probably cheat their own mother out of a dollar. Or at least that is the persona they project. Maybe that\’s why he has such a bad taste in his mouth.

At any rate, I am sick of being made out in his little mind to be a crook. I walk many a lying client out of my office and refer to them to the 60-70% who will lie for a buck. And I always ask them the same question…\”If I were willing to lie to the company, what makes you think I\’m telling you the truth?\”

Thanks alot Garamendi for being such a great judge of character. And by the way how much to you make every year, how much does a salesperson at McDonald\’s make, and how much does your doctor make? I hope you lose everything.

Everyone needs Insurance Coverage and hopefully Agents, who really genuinely care about their Customers, will stop selling policies which are not honored. The serious damage already inflicted on hundreds of thousands of families, through bad-faith practice by a #1 Rated Insurance Company, is truly frightening and really needs to end. http://www.stopunum.com
