The guy is an idiot and it would be unfair for me to call him that without explaining why.

JP Schmidt, please do not insult us! No insurance company discriminates on race, give me a break, but worse yet to compare one\’s credit score as being a similar catagory to one\’s race is pure ASININE!

People are responsible for their credit score! People are born with their race, JP SCHMIDT, WHY WOULD SOMEONE OF YOUR CALIBER WANT TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT!

This order does seem to preclude any underwriter decision-making at all. Hmmm–will not having to pay for underwriters and their whole intrusive, cumbersome and expensive apparatus more than offset possible additional losses in a small, limited market like Hawaii? Isn\’t this what slot underwriting was supposed to be all about?

    Imagine there\’s no underwriters.
    It\’s easy if you try
    No rate differentials, no non-renewals
    Above us only sky,
You may say I\’m a dreamer
But–as the father of two drivers under 25 (sing this part rapidly)–I\’m not the only one
Some day common sense may prevail in more states
with the whole world underwritten as one.

    What pleasant thoughts…

….I believe your talents may be wasted in the Insurance industry.

Wow… that pretty much only leaves Rating Territory and factors related to WHAT you\’re driving.

Mr. Schmidt, if you\’re trying to bring more insurers into Hawai\’i, this ain\’t the way to do it.
