Ventura County, California District Attorney Gregory Totten announced that the District Attorney’s Office has obtained the conviction of Angela Nicole Noyes (DOB 08/30/81), a resident of Palm Springs, Calif.
Noyes pleaded guilty to 10 felonies, including five counts of identity theft and one count each of possessing blank checks with intent to defraud, possessing completed checks with intent to defraud, forging driver’s licenses, possessing a computer used to counterfeit currency, and failing to appear in court after posting bond. This matter was investigated by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
On July 11, 2003, a Sheriff’s deputy was on patrol at the Good Nite Inn in Camarillo when he reportedly observed Noyes attempting to open the trunk of a car that had been reported stolen.
In the car and in Noyes’ hotel room deputies seized a computer, forged documents, and stolen mail. The computer contained templates for identification and United States currency. Noyes, an exotic dancer working on her own, also had devices for taking credit cards from customers. After posting $50,000 bond, Noyes reportedly failed to appear in court and was recently arrested in Palm Springs.
Noyes faces up to four years in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 8.
