Good luck to the banks! With no past claims to administer they should do well for a few years. Due to stress related claims most clerical driven risks are woefully underpriced as one sizeable stress claim or shoulder injury pulling out a file drawer or carpel tunnel hand claim from one of their many parttime workers will eventually do them in. Most clerical risks pay lip service to so called aggressive safety measures from insurance company engineers — hard to believe they’ll change their stripes. Just ask LA City Schools how their self-insured w/c is going? They tried to get back into the private system due to their inability to handle claims and monitor the claims administrator and reserves. The banks also provide a real breeding ground for “fraudulent” claims with so much of their work force parttime. However, in the short term they should be able to save a few dollars on the back of all thework done by the various insurance alliances to get the new laws passed in Workers Comp.
