Average Cost of Household Water Damage Still Climbing Despite Drop in Claims

    This is not too hard to figure out. Mold claims against carriers has caused adjusters to practice “defensive” adjusting on water losses. A minor water claim where the leak has been stopped and the water cleaned up still warrants expensive mitigation just to “be safe”. If mold were as bad as trial lawyers have made it out to be, any feild adjuster with more than 5 years in the feild would be dead from the exposure that we routinely receive.

    Like many other areas in life, the lawyers are the problem. Common sense goes out the window in a litigous enviroment.
