They are a great company and are very thorough, and they actually like the family risks. They compete nicely with Erie, and are very dedicated to the independent agent. They are not in many states, but it is difficult to get an appointment with them as they dont take whoever comes along.

Sounds like a great company from a financial persepctive. I checked with some local agents in my area and they seem to like them. I wonder how this company has managed to be so quiet and stay below the radar for so long.

Good luck to them. Where do I sign up?

We have been a Mercury agent for over 20 years in California. Without a doubt the best company we represent. They have very strict underwriting guidelines, so are very careful who they insure. They are 100% committed to their independent agents, and are making great strides with internet capabilities. Don’t know what state you are located in, but if you can get an appointment, you cannot go wrong.

They don’t have very good rates in Texas a lot of the time. Their hard to deal with, too…. it’s almost too much work to write through them.
