I wonder how many of these defendants would be “judgment-proof” and never make any criminal or civil rstitution to the carriers that they defrauded. After they spend whatever portion of their sentenced incarceration time, if any, they are most likely to crawl back into the hole they came out of, and resurface somewhere else, under a different name.
Maybe the industry should offer a “whistle-blower” reward and/or law enforcement offer amnesty to perpetrators who finger the lawyers and “doctors” who commit fraud.
