SCIF is in a crisis? As a claimant for over 10 years I know why. My case was made bad by the mishandling of my healthcare to return to lucrative work in a competitive jobmarket.

I was forced to settle at $35K and then was unable to return to work without aggravating my condition. They said I would be ok to to this. But they have their own doctors to tell me what they want me to hear and not what I need to know.

I fired my attorney filed a petiton to reopen my case and studied the law for over 7 months and submitted a petition to reopen that was eventually appealed and still prevailed in the 3 judge panel who saw the problems.

Now I have 100% disability and some more benefits, but 11 years later my income benifits are insubstancial in todays economy and I am suffering financially.

SCIF streached out my case and it’s cost by; refusing treatments for over 1 and a half years, refusing to allow a complete evaluation, refusing to comply with the doctor referral system, refusing a seasonable surgery, relying on drugs instead of therapy, getting their doctors to disagree with applicant doctors.

I could go on. It is a nightmare. I have had cancer, lost most of my teeth, lost my home in forclosure, los6t my car, was homeless, lived on a boat for 5 years, couldn’t work (tried over 15 times), became diabetic and low thyroid. Gotta go, EdO
