Visited Kiawah Island in March for some R&R and golfing. The course was “crowded” with gators near every water hazard. The locals looked past it, but it was an unsettling and not my best round.
Also, with all the pine needle landscaping and dense foliage in many communities, I can see where this might occur and am surprised it does not happen more often. The warning signs are everywhere. The coast is nice, but I am definitely a “high country” person.
