Who gives a crap if it’s man made or not…it obviously IS a problem and this moron decides to ignore any scientific data presented to him, ignores the problem like it’s going to go away on it’s own and effectively just proved over and over again to his constituents that he is disinterested in addressing their needs or problems. Either it is global warming, a polar shift, or both. WHO is responsible is a mute point now other than to point these a-holes in the direction of doing something about it.
How about a big government progam to tak our fossil fuel usage and hire a well connected government lobbyist to build a levy at tax payer’s expense?
Or maybe we could all switch to solar powered cars. If we all start driving electic cars, surely St Augusitine won’t flood ten times a year like it has throughout its history.
Or better yet….move to where its dry. Coastal areas change over time and its a shame they built the city there.
It’s one thing to sympothize with St. Augaustine. It’s sad that a place so rich in history is stuggling. It’s altogether different to ask tax payers from all over the state to invest in a local economy. The locals can raise taxes, have fund raisers, attract sponsors, and generated the necessary revenue to deal with the problem, or they will need to move. Maybe there is something unique to this area that makes it’s welfare a valuable assest to the state, but it doesn’t sound like that’s the case.
I am confused by GR’s comment. somebody please clarify his thinking for me. are the streets of St. Augustine being flooded more often, or is he saying they are not and this article is part of the vast left wing conspiracy to dupe us in to thinking there are rising sea levels?

Geez, another man-made climate change article, how unusual. More hogwash.

But of course there’s no plan, because the sea is rising due to god being angry that we are not persecuting gays more.
