“Doraville Police Chief John King said he’s aware of the city’s reputation as a ticket trap and has abolished the department’s traffic unit to have officers spend more time on neighborhood policing.”
If that were true, I would expect to see patrol cars in my neighborhood, Northwoods, more than once or twice a week! I see them multiple times per DAY on the main arteries!
I received a speeding ticket in April, 2016, on I-285, after midnight, for going 19 mph over the posted limit. My court date is in two days. I plan to use the DOraville Police Chief’s quote from this very same news article, to question why I was cited.
