I really have no words here…I can’t believe the parent is “Ok” with his child dying in such a manner. What a wasted life. 15- and driving a race car? First time around the track was enough- I don’t care what my child’s dream is – if they wish to do something life-threatening I would be against it no matter their age. But this, the parent condoned and encouraged it. Sad. I’m not sure if it rises to the level of criminal, but in my mind, it should.

Wasted life? She was young, but doing what she loves. Many people live to be 80, 90 years old and never got the chance to pursue their dream. A tragedy yes, but her life was not wasted. Many people live a long, “safe” life and end up with regrets because of it.

More and more kids now a days are wanting to race. It is not the sport that kills people it is the high speeds. This little girl was doing what she has always wanted to do. I am a late model race car driver myself I have been in many crashs and my car has lost control. That being said anyone that wants to race should.
