Brentwood Services Administrators Appoints Mark Sparks Regional Claim Manager in Birmingham

Brentwood Services Administrators, a provider of claims management and loss control services to employers and employer associations with self-insured and large deductible programs for workers’ compensation and other casualty lines, recently appointed Mark Sparks as regional claim manager in the Birmingham, Ala., office, according to Eryn Crawford, senior vice president of claims.

Sparks brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new position. Sparks’ career has included positions of increasing responsibility working in claims management with both third party administrators and national carriers.

He was most recently employed as claim director with Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. in Birmingham, where he managed branch claim operations and served as the corporate professional standards coordinator for the office.

Mark Sparks-BSASparks previous employment also includes positions in Nashville, Tenn., with CNA Insurance as a claim evaluation and large loss consultant and as an account executive with Willis Corroon Administrative Services. He began his insurance career in 1982 with Safeco Insurance, working in their Birmingham; Orlando, Fla.; and Nashville offices.

Sparks is an honors graduate of the University of North Alabama, where he was named a member of the Gulf South All-Conference baseball team in 1978. He is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the Community Ministries program of Highlands United Methodist Church in Birmingham.
