I am a public adjuster in the Boca Raton, FL area. I have some clients that have the same insurance agent. I ran into two cases recently in which the agent tried to discourage the insured from using our services and also telling the insured if they turned in a claim they would have trouble finding insurance coverage in the future. In another case a potential client told me he was told that we handled a claim for another insured this potential client knew that the past client of ours was getting their insurance cancelled. He gave the potential client the name of the insured that was being cancelled. We do not think this is appropriate behavior for an agent. Any thoughts?
