After State Farm increased my premium from approx 3200,00 to over 7000.00 In applied to Citizens thru Alan Edwards Agency who was State Farms agent and apparenttly agreed to be an agent for Citizens. I had insurnnce for about 3200.00 (Approx the as State Farm had been) They charged me $1162.00 as a down payment and quoted me $2800.00 or $2600 depending on amonitored alarm system. I immediatemy canceled the policy when I received it when I got a bill for over $6000.00 with no credit for ther shutters covering all windows and doors because they wanted a “dade county garage door also. All or nothing). Refusal to give cerdit for shutters unless I also had a new garage door in my opinion was not acceptible. Why can an agent quote one price and then the insurance Co doubles or more the actual premium??
