This woman is one sick puppy herself. If not amount of money will replace it, then money shouldn’t be an issue. This dog had a plethora of serious problems that might have killed it regardless. Some people are delusional about pets. They have a limited life expectancy and are pieces of property…..they can’t be compared to a human life. The offer of a new pet and reimbursement of out of pocket expenses is more than fair. Get over it lady.

as a pet lover myself, I think Jester’s comments are a little harsh, but actually close to being realistic. the dog was well along in years, and was probably “on borrowed time” as it was. in my state, and probably others, you can’t claim the “love” value of the pet, only the “market” value. stuff happens; go on with life. get a new dog. that’s what I have had to do many times thru the years.
Justice should still be served for the family and the poor dog. If it werent for the vet techs stupidity, that dog would still be alive. The woman paid for the dog to BEAT CANCER, then to later lose it to a HUMAN ERROR. I would be just as outraged and sue the hell out of the vet that killed him!!! GO NANCY!!!!!!!!!
Oh……you know the saying “unless you have walked a mile in my shoes.”??? WELL……unless you lived what Laci and her family did, you have no idea what these Vets and the Vet school gets away with. They get away with way too many NEGLIGENT acts, and the law needs to be changed now. The law in this state is archaic. Laci was forced to suffer a horrible death. And NOT ONE VET, NOT ONE helped her. She struggled for her life for hours until they killed her. Now is that too STRONG for all you “know it all jerks,” that have no clue about this case? Keep your stupid, unintelligent, uninformed, comments to yourself. Get busy and fight to change the law for ALL our beloved companions.
