Lawyers for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority say comparing the cost of drugs is like complaining that bottled water costs $6 at a Carolina Panthers football game and 99 cents at a grocery store.

wow, what cracker jackbox law school did these guys go too? People go to the see the Panthers by their own free will and thus are well aware of the inflated costs to buy things like water. Depending on the situation this man might have not had any say so in which hospital he was taken too. And chances are he did not have the option of just staying home instead of going to the hospital.

The only thing I think that would hurt this guy is that if a trial by jury is done Charlotte is full of banking executives. I’m willing to bet that those executives would feel the hospital should be able to charge what ever they want.
