Maybe Joe Hackney should read the bill before shooting off his mouth. The cap is on “general” damages aka “pain & suffering”. It’s a reward for being injured. All the pecuniary damages (out of pocket expenses) are still un-limited. So Joe, how does this “hurt” people? If every claimant agrees that “it’s not about the money”, then what’s the problem?
