Georgia Court: Store can be Liable for Beer Sale

    The guy was already drunk before he bought the beer. The store should have no liability.

    The store has a legal responsibility to not sell alcohol to intoxicated customers, much like a bartender or server at a restaurant.

    Just think of the new responsiblity that is being put on convience store and gas station employees to make determinations of to anyones mental/physical status before they can buy a product. This is absolutly crazy. It would be different if they were consuming on the property. How would this employee know this person was going to drive. How did he know when and where he would consume the beer. You wonder why this country is so screwed up. Here is a good example.
