Too many un-informed people believe a large dollar award punished the defendant. It doesn’t. Their insurance company pays. They say “it’s not about the money”. B.S. It’s all about the money. If it weren’t why don’t they donate their awards to charity? And let’s now forget about righteous plaintiff attorneys who promise “justice”. (for a mere 40-50% of the take). The contingency fee needs to go. It creates the incentive to exaggerate damages and portray injuries as severe as possible to raise the ante and make more money. We all know that will never happen but it does have an adverse economic impact.

Right on the money! (sorry). Guess enough of these people did not read all of the previous comments that were made when the articles were first reported however long ago.
