did you read the last line? they knew that they probably will not get the $5 million.. then why did you even bother to go to court? you wasted everyone’s time, money and energy, from the judge, jury and both lawyers. now because you will not get paid by the other party because he does not have the money, you have to pay your own lawyer his 30% of the 5 million. how unlucky! i do know that it’s not right to expect nothing but you have to look at what does he have in value? after today’s court hearing, he could become homeless – move to another country and you will never see a dime! this is why courts get bogged down. there has to be a smarter way to get this done.

again, i feel for the victim, but then again, if that individual does not have any funds or the cohort he hired, then you are out of luck. maybe he can make some money while in jail for some of the restitution.

    #1 It sends a message.
#2 If he has a change in fortune, the judgement is out there and collectible.
#3 Poetic justice would be for him to win the lottery in Georgia or Tennessee and then try to buy a home only to find out the lender would require the judgements to be satisfied even though he has a boatload of money.
#4 Every one in the community needs to know the character of this character.

The message is that this was basically a useless waste of time. The guy doesn’t have two nickles to rub together & MABEY he’ll win the lottery? Yeah, right.

    Big Fish,
You hit the nail right on the head. You can never underestimate the verdict. When this guy gets out of jail, they can get money out of each paycheck and also put a lien on anything he buys. This is like him getting a life sentence if he ever gets his life turned around. He’ll never want to buy anything of value and no one will want to give him a loan knowing there will also be a lien on it from this lady.
