the son was at the university going to school? and the plant nearby had an explosion? what is the connection between the 2? if he had been affected, then don’t you think more than just one? is it possible that the blood clot came from something else? was the kid working part-time at the plant when the explosion happened? sounds like they are fishing for money just because. but then again, is there missing information?

    yeah, a money-grubbing parent and ambulance-chasing attorney. Additional details…

According to the suit, Ra’Sean died as a result of a pulmonary embolism, a blockage in the arteries to one of the lungs caused by a substance that has travelled through the bloodstream usually due to a clot in the deep veins of the legs.

Dr. Paul F. Mullen, who performed the autopsy, cited that as Ra’Sean’s immediate cause of death, and listed “morbid obesity” as a contributing factor.

Also, his death certificate listed his residence on the second floor of Sullivan Hall. Sullivan is the dormitory furthest away from the plant on the opposite side of campus.

People like this really piss me off. The suit was filed by the mother but there’s no mention of the father. I’m sure he’ll show up if he smells a dollar. Seems Ra’Sean (what kind of name is that?)died of obesity and probably a DVT. He wasn’t even in proximity to the explosion. This is a shameless suit even for a scum sucking personal injury attorney to take. The defendant should be outraged that a claim like this would be made.

Counsel was twice president of the DC trial lawyers. Voted attorney of the year.
His work was instrumental in “Daubert.”

That case changed the rules for admissibility of expert evidence.

Strong med mal background, he will understand the experts and use them well.

Just because someone is obese doesn’t mean they didn’t die of poisoning when a pesticide plant exploded.

This is very true, but it’s not about the money either, I’ll bet. Yeah, right!

so, let’s get this straight, if he was somewhere not near this plant explosion and supposedly has died from a poison from this plant, don’t you think there would be more folks affected? this is why this lawsuit is fraud! according the a previous post, it was mentioned that he had an object (again an object of substance). a poison would not create a blockage! he had an embolism according to the ME. his obesity was a contributed to his death but was not the sole factor.

It was actually McDonalds’ fault, for forcing him into obesity.
