Cool! And, the thistle is the national “flower” of Scotland, because when the Romans were invading, they marched in the early morning, when everyone was asleep. One of them stepped on a thistle, yelped – and the alarm was sounded. They were routed.
Just watch out for the Campbells!

It’s a real shame that this article is confined to the headlines of regional news, as it certainly merits national attention. It blew my kilt up over my face and exposed my twig and berries!

I’m a huge bagpipe fan. I confess that I use an air compressor to play mine for any extended period (over 10 seconds).

Bagpipes are for beginners. If you want a better sound, try elbow or uillean pipes.

A guy in a skirt with a hidden knife in his sock as a co-worker – nice.

R U W, you should be happy he has a “hidden knife” in his sock. Would probably save your sorry a** in an emergency rather than walk away.

As a fellow insurance man and a piper in New Jersey, I really enjoyed reading this article.

It’s a great talent to play bagpipes, not for the feint of heart or for ADD types.

    Great reading about Keith!
